finally...

aah fancy meeting you all here on the web of chance. it is a veritable ocean that we have both swum through to coalesce on this fine and timeless point. As you are noticing, i am creating a blog for whatever reason. Mostly because i find myself leaving large group emails that no one reads when i'm on a trip. This way, people can voluntarily look at what i have to say, rather than just opening and quickly closing the group email with vague feelings of guilt. And when i come home, it will be your fault for not reading my blog, and not mine for sending soulless group emails of sorts. i just graduated the bastion of self learning and teeth grinding college of Evergreen, but i was never able to take the much lauded "art of the blog" class, so i guess i'm straight wingin it.

at the moment, i am slowly packing up my apartment. i have already filled 11 old liquor store boxes with books and i still have more of them to pack. its enough to make one question the whole concept of a personal library, but for some reason i can't bear to part with the shitty old copy of The Idiot that i read in Hanoi three years ago, so i slog along.

i am going to take the trans-siberian railroad at the end of the month, from Beijing to Moscow. the weather reports indicate a negative twenty Fahrenheit and an extreme amount of snow. not to worry i bought a jacket.
so i will continue to leave stories of my last days in olympia and my transiberian trip, and hopefully afterwards move to san francisco for grad school, on this thing.
